ALEXANDRINE ST-PIERRE (nee LABBE) 1919 - 2003 Our beloved mother passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2003 in her 84th year at the Villa Youville Personal Care Home in Ste. Anne, MB. She leaves to mourn her daughter Marie of the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Hyacinthe; four sons, Joseph (Cecile), Hector (Rachel), Emile (Lucille), and John (Theresa) six grandchildren, Claire (Mark), Diane (Jack), Chantal (Mike), Marc (Chantal), Paul and Lynne; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Joshua; two sisters-in-law, Helen and Lillian (Hall) Labbee; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by our father, Gerard, her beloved husband of 54 years. Also by her parents, Ernest Labbe and Emilia Dagenais; an infant son Gerard Jr.; four brothers, Francois, Ernest Jr., Lauria and Raymond; and her sister Ernestine (Labbe) Marion. Our mother was a very kind and warm-hearted person. She was also caring, patient and hard-working. Her family always came first. Through her examples and her teachings, we learned to do good and to love God and others. After the children had all left home, she took employment at Eatons Bake Shop where she worked for 15 years until her retirement. Special thanks to Dr. Gobeil of Ste. Anne and to all the staff of the Villa Youville who took such good care of our mother for the past 21 months. God bless you all!!! Also a special thank you to Sr. Irene Rioux and Sr. Marguerite Forest for spiritual comfort and prayers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Paroisse du Precieux Sang, 200 Kenny St., Winnipeg, with Fr. Isaie Blanchette o.m.i. presiding. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
