Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT ALLAN VRYENHOEK (BOB) Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 with his children by his side, Bob passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Bob was predeceased by his father Abe in 1984 and his wife Willa in 1995. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his mother Edna; son Darren (Carrie) daughters, Lori (Wes), Terri (Bob) and Sharon (Kevin) brother Ralph (Billie) nine grandchildren and numerous family members and close friends. Bob was born in Winnipeg on June 11, 1937 and raised in East Kildonan. He married his wife Willa in 1959 and together they raised four children in Winnipeg and Oakbank. Throughout Bobs life he had many hobbies and interests, all of which involved working with his hands. There wasnt a job or project too big for him to accomplish with great skill and expertise. Since his retirement from the elevator service industry in 1994, his main joys in life revolved around his family and friends and time spent at the family cottage at Lake Manitoba. Bob was a very generous and thoughtful man, always willing to lend a helping hand. Anyone whose life has been touched by knowing and loving Bob will remember him by his sense of humour, love and kindness. We would like to express our deep gratitude and thanks to all of our friends and relatives for their concern, prayers and love during Dads illness. A special thank you to Bill McCoy for your friendship over the many years. Also, a very special thank you to Donna Mardynalka for your never ending friendship, caring, assistance and support you have given our dad over the years. Thank you to Elaine Rokyta, for your friendship, caring and support. Dad cherished each of your friendships immensely. We would also like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for their kindness, care and the many special friendships that developed during his stays. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, contributions may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or CancerCare Manitoba. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
