Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JAMES (BILL) ALDERDICE Peacefully on January 15, 2003, Bill passed away at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home at the age of 88. Bill will be missed by his daughter Wendy Brouillette of Winnipeg; his sons, Sandy (Lois) of London, ON, and John (Jane) of Winnipeg. Also mourning his passing will be his grandchildren, Donald Lacroix-Brouillette (Joanne), Derrick Brouillette (Alanna), Marci Brouillette (Wayne Ducharme), David (Nancy) Alderdice of Toronto, Shanyn Alderdice of London and his "wee fella" Zachary Alderdice of Winnipeg. Bill was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Allan, Jeanine, Hannah-Marie of Winnipeg and Steven, Andrew, Katie of Toronto. Bill was born in Winnipeg on December 5, 1914, and resided in the Fort Rouge-Riverview area all of his life, attending Earl Grey and Kelvin High Schools. Upon graduation Bill began work at the CNR as a boiler maker. He retired at the age of 65 years after 45 years of service. In 1941 Bill volunteered for the Royal Canadian Navy and served aboard Her Majesty Canadian Ship, The Robert, as a Chief Petty Officer. He returned home to Winnipeg in 1944. In his younger days Bill enjoyed bowling, square dancing and many hours of bridge with his wife Mary and their many friends. At Bills request no formal service will be held and cremation has taken place. The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the staff of Tuxedo Villa and Dr. M. Burke for the excellent care provided to our dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bills name to the Salvation Army, 500 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg MB R3C 1L8.
