MARY YOSHIKO SASAKI September 15, 1926 - January 15, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grand-mother Mary. Mary passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at 6:49 a.m. She is survived by her son Gordon (Pearl) her three grandsons, Steven, David and Nicholas; her sisters, Hideko (Mac) of Winnipeg and Martha of Vancouver; sisters-in-law, Kay Inouye and Allen Sasaki of Winnipeg, Ruth Usami; and brother-in-law Roy (Sally) Sasaki of Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Haney, BC and moved to Manitoba in 1942 where she met and married Minoru Sasaki in 1952. Before she got sick, Mary loved golfing, bowling and going on fishing outings with her grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview for their special care of Mary over the last year. They would also like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Emergency for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
