Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY (MAY) ELPHINSTONE TAYLOR Peacefully, on January 4, 2003 Mary (May) at Extendicare Oakview Place Winnipeg. May was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1919. As a child, she immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg with her parents. Sewing and bookkeeping led her employment over the years and included the companies of Eatons and Cranes. She retired from Cranes in 1985. She was predeceased by her mother, father, brother (Thomas Taylor) and nephew (William Taylor). She will be sadly missed by family Grace Rennick (sister-in-law) Westbank, BC; Betty Taylor (niece in- law) Stonewall, Sandi Taylor (great-niece) Steven Taylor (great-nephew) and Alexander Taylor (great-great-nephew) cousins and friends. Her kindnesses, wittiness, laughter, love for music, and ability to write poems will be remembered always. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Place for the excellent care they gave May over the past several years of which time Oakview Place was her home. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on January 18 at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
