Date of Passing: Jan 16, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) CLARK January 6, 1925 - January 16, 2003 Sadly after a courageous battle with cancer, our much loved mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away. Mum was predeceased by her husband Jim; sister Josie; and brothers, Edmund and Ronald. Mum is survived by her loving sisters, Evelyn, Dol and Cathie and their husbands. Also many loving nieces and nephews in Canada and Scotland and their families. Shortly before Mums passing, Evelyn and Dol and nephew Alan, visited from Scotland and it was great to see them all together again. We heard many entertaining stories of their younger days brought up in a small two room home, but filled with love for each other. They are a very talented family of singers and dancers. We had lots of sing songs and much laughter at our get-togethers. Mum and Dad crossed the ocean a number of times before settling in Winnipeg permanently. Mum worked for Perths for a number of years and also Meadow Wood Manor from where she retired in 1989. Mum loved to spend time with the family and of course, her favourite pastime, bingo. She was quite lucky on occasions. We wish we had a dollar for every time Mum only needed one number for the jack pot. We wish to thank the team at St. Boniface for all their care and support. They are a special group of people and we are grateful for them. At Mums request, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place on Sunday with Pastor Hughes. Mums remains will be taken home to Scotland at a later date. We will carry our special memories in our hearts forever until we meet again. Mum you loved and were loved always by your daughters, Cathy, Dolores, and Anne (Brian) granddaughters, Caron, Angela, Pamela, Jennifer, and Breanna; grandsons, Jamie, Allan, and Warren; great-grandsons, Drew, Tyler, Gregory, Aiden and new addition.
