Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGUY E. GOULET Guy passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2003 at the age of 50. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Irene, his daughter Nicole (Dan Steinkey), his son Daniel (Meghan Petteys), and their mother Cathy. He also leaves his parents, Paul and Simone (Martel) Goulet of Brandon; as well as two brothers and two sisters, Denis (Gerri) of Calgary, Roland (Bev) of Victoria, Pauline (Bruce) McConnell of Bernie, and Lorraine (Garry) Winters of Brandon; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves to mourn his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jean and Gordon Dearlove, and brother-in-law, Allan Dearlove (Ann McAulay). Guy was born on September 4, 1952 in Wawota, SK. Along with his family, he moved to Brandon at the age of 4. He attended high school at BCI in Brandon, and began his career with Manitoba Hydro at the age of nineteen as a Timekeeper. Over the years, he obtained his CGA designation, and in 1998 became a consultant for Deloitte Consulting. Guy started his own consulting business in 2002. Guy married Irene Dearlove on July 16, 1994. They enjoyed spending time together at the cottage they built at Lac Du Bonnet. They also enjoyed travelling and spent the past Christmas holiday in Texas. Guys children were their pride and joy. Guy and Irene especially enjoyed entertaining them at the cottage. Guy was a very talented artist and carpenter, with a wonderful sense of humour. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Guys life will take place in Winnipeg on Thursday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. A private family interment will follow the reception. Pallbearers will be Garry Winters, Kevin Goulet, Brian Goulet, Allan Dearlove, Ron Price, and John OLeary. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 75 Archibald St., Winnipeg, MB R2J 0V7 or a charity of your choice. Rest in peace Guy. We will miss you.
