WILLIAM HENLEY Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 15, 2003, Bill Henley, aged 80 years, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years Gladys; four children, Mary Brocklebank, Jim (Barbara), Carol Bowen and Gordon (Karyn) three grandchildren, Debbie (Kurtis) Rudney, Chris (Theresa) Henley, and Stacy Bowen; four great-grandchildren, Tyson and Tyler Rudney and Tyler and Chelsea Henley; one brother Bob Henley; one sister Dorothy (Hector) Gray; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Henley; and one brother Jack Henley. Bill was born in Winnipeg and enlisted in the Navy at age 17 and served six years. He met and married Gladys Doyle and started working for CP Rail. He retired after 38 years at the age of 60. Dad was an avid curler with the Branch No. 2 Legion and was very proud of his trophies. He enjoyed fishing, camping and tinkering with cars. Bill had a very outgoing personality and a wonderful sense of humour. His family was very important to him and thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Personal Care Home and Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and support. According to Bills wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Bills memory to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
