PATRICIA EILEEN (PAT) JERVIS March 22, 1925 - January 14, 2003 Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Pat Jervis died peacefully on January 14, 2003, at the age of 77. Pat was predeceased by her husband Bill; and is survived by her son Brent (Laurie) daughter Ruth (Roy) and grandchildren, Sean, David, Victoria, Olivia, Jennifer and Heather. Also left to mourn are Pats sister Lois; brother Doug (Joyce) and many nieces and nephews. Born in the Virden area, Pat later moved with her family to Winnipeg. Pat left school at an early age to go to work and had many fond memories of her time in the restaurant business with the Vlassie family. Later, Pat worked for Swifts Canada where she met Bill. They were married in 1949 and moved into the Jervis family home, where she cared for her mother-in-law with unfailing compassion, patience and love. Pat supported and partnered with Bill to establish a business as an independent sales representative. Later, they co-founded Jervis Industries, a corrugated box business. Pat and Bill bought property and built their dream home south of Winnipeg in 1968, where they relocated their carton business. Trees and gardens were planted and harvested and snow was cleared until the flood of 1997 forced them to move. Following a difficult transition, they eventually moved into a seniors condo complex where they enjoyed their new home and the support and camaraderie of their neighbours. All who knew Pat will remember her for her compassion, optimism, loyalty, graciousness, wonderful sense of humour and readiness to help anyone in need. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. The Jervis family invites you to share in a celebration of Pats life on Tuesday, January 28 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4, or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9.
