ALLAN JAMES JOHNSON Peacefully on January 3, 2003, Allan James Johnson passed away at Riverview Health Centre with his wife at his side. Allan is survived by Bernice, his loving wife of 44 years. He is lovingly remembered by his son Wesley, wife Belinda, their children, Wyatt, Kelsey and Quinn; and daughter Nadine, husband Jim McIntosh and their children, Megan, Carson and Eric. Sister Carol Steen of Dilworth, MN; sister-in-law Arla (Ted) Anderson of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Don (Lois) Nachtigall of Winnipeg; and brother-in-law Grant (Dawn) Nachtigall of Calgary, AB. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Winnipeg on February 15, 1934, Al grew up in Fort Rouge, attended Lord Roberts, Riverview and St. Pauls High School. A brief career in the R.C.M.P., then was owner operator of a Texaco Service Station in Fort Rouge for over 20 years, part owner, operated a fly in fishing lodge in Northwest Ontario for five years, managed the Royal Manitoba Yacht Club for 10 years. Then he semi-retired to Victoria Beach working at Grand Pines Golf Course for the last eight years. He loved his family, his home, his dogs, cats, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare. Also special thanks to Barney and Ann Bars, Roger and June Pearson, and Bruce Grey. A private graveside service was held on January 9 at Victoria Beach.
