JOYCE EUNICE McCAUSLAND (nee JONES) September 19, 1925 - January 16, 2003 With deepest sorrow, we wish to announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother. We rejoice in the memory of her life and in her reunion with her beloved husband Harold, infant son Donny, parents, Clifford and Martha Jones; and brothers, Gordon and Claude. Mom will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren, Jim, Sandra, Andrew and David McCausland; Susan, Don, Brett and Chelsea Butchart; Janet, Bob, Cameron and Aimee Proulx; Bill, Robin, Dale and Cheryl McCausland; sisters, Betty (Larry) Hammond and Shirley Jones (Jerry Koroscil ) brothers, Lionel (Joan) Jones and David (Lorraine) Jones, sister-in-law Mae Jones, uncle Ivor (Dorothy) Jones, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, Dorothy and Judy and many, many friends. Born in Winnipeg and a lifelong resident of Fort Rouge, Joyce met Harold and they married during the 1950 flood. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother whose strength, faith and indomitable spirit not only sustained her family through Harolds polio and through the death of their infant son, but also through the trials and tribulations of raising their children. She is an anchor and an inspiration for all of us. In addition to this legacy, Mom enjoyed her career as a secretary for several organizations, most notably St. Albans Church, and eventually retiring from the Provincial Fire Commissioners Office. Her devotion to her Church led her to be honoured as one of the first recipients of the Order of St. Alban, and as an Assistant in administering the sacraments. Mom sang for many years in the Church choir, was a member of the Mothers Union and Ladies Guild of St. Albans, and served several terms as secretary of the tenants association in her block. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, January 19 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Albans Anglican Church, 486 Rathgar Ave. at Osborne Street, the Venerable Donna Ball officiating. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to Joyces memory to St. Albans Church Memorial Fund. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
