MABEL JOYCE SABATINI It is with great sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of Mabel on January 16 at the age of 62. Mabel was born in Winnipeg on October 14, 1940. She grew up in the Brooklands area until the tender age of 16 when unfortunately she was admitted to the Selkirk Mental Health Care Facility which has been her home for the past 46 years. Mabel was predeceased by her father William Anthony Sabatini on March 3, 1980, her mother Nellie Sabatini on November 13, 1994 and her brother Joseph Anthony Sabatini on August 11, 1996. She is survived by her brothers, Frank (Gale), Gerald (Ingrid) sister-in-law Helen; nephews, Dero (Saveria), Joe (Brandy), Rico (Tessa), Aaron (Sofia), Dylan; nieces, Serena Skrumeda (Mike), Sarah; and several great-nieces and nephews as well as several cousins. Mabel is also survived by special friend Stan Brooks with whom she enjoyed weekly visits. There will be a private family service to be held at Bardal Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to contribute to the Mental Health Association (Canadian) 432 Ellice Ave. or a charity of their choice. The family wishes to thank the staff at Selkirk Mental Health Care Facility for their care over the years and a special thank you to Jeff Gunter for his compassion and kindness at this difficult time.
