Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS KERR MCNAUGHT At the age of 88 years after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis, Thomas Kerr "T.K." as he was known by all his many friends, passed away on January 17, 2003. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years Irene, daughter Barbara (Donald) Moroz of Saskatchewan, son Russell of Winnipeg, surrogate son Carl Vallance of Sarto, granddaughter Patricia, great-granddaughter Staci, brother James of Brantford, two sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew and special little dog Kristi. He will also be sadly missed by his very best friends the Lou Kennedy family who were like a second family to Tom. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Margaret; and brother Douglas Blair. Tom was born, raised and educated in St. James and lived his entire life in the house where he was born. Tom was a well known plumber all his life, a trade that he inherited from his father Joseph. Tom loved car racing. He spent many pleasurable years working in the earlier days with his "partner" Ron McColl and later Lou Kennedy his very best friend. Many a weekend in the summer you could see Tom heading South with the boys to go racing. Tom was fond of racing up until the time of his death. The family would like to thank the whole team of caregivers in ICU and a special thank you to Celine on the 2nd floor, all of the Grace Hospital. Also home care workers, Heather, Marci and Cathy. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made in Toms memory to the Manitoba Lung Association or the Humane Society. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 21, at 2:00 p.m. in St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St., with Rev. Peter Douglas officiating.
