Date of Passing: Feb 18, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY ANNIE ARMSTRONG It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Audrey Armstrong (nee Lawrie) on Saturday, January 18, 2003, with her loving family by her side. She will be sorrowfully missed by her husband Jack; son Gary (Yvonne) and family; the Armstrong family; sister Betty Stermer; brother Harvey Lawrie; the Beaudry family, Rene, Kelly, Sherri and Tim, all of Calgary, AB; also close family and friends. Audrey was a very special wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was compassionate, and friendly, maintaining an active involvement with all who knew her, focusing on the "bright" side of life with a kind word. Her positive and cheerful outlook will be greatly missed. Audrey led an active lifestyle playing bridge, lawn bowling, dancing and was a volunteer with the "Club 60" Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed the weekly Saturday afternoon dances at the Club, weekly meetings with the "girls" and especially her weekly phone call from her sister Betty in Los Angeles, CA. In keeping with her wishes, our families invite you to join us in a "Celebration of Audreys Life," on Friday, January 31, at 5:00 p.m. in the Army & Navy Club 60, 279 Garry St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Audreys memory to the Army & Navy Club 60 or the Ladies Auxiliary, 279 Garry St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1H9.
