Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS (TOM) BESYK September 17, 1930 - January 19, 2003 Surrounded by his family, Tom Besyk, our beloved brother, uncle and great-uncle passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Selkirk General Hospital. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Jennie. He is survived by six sisters, Frances Kulbaba, Helen Besyk, Joan (Art) Gooley, all of Selkirk, Bernice Gooley (Mike)and Joyce (Wally) Scribny of Winnipeg Beach and Jackie (Wayne) Dola of St. Andrews; three brothers, Bert (Faye) of Dryden, ON, Arnold and Ryan (Bernice) of Winnipeg Beach; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was born in Winnipeg Beach on September 17, 1930 and spent his working life in the trucking business. After retiring at the age of 63 years, he spent the last nine years in Selkirk. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Fr. Jerry Talarski officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach, MB. The family would like to thank Dr. Antonenko and the nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
