EVELYN MAY ERICKSON On Friday, January 17, 2003, surrounded by her loved ones, Evelyn peacefully passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 88 years. She will be reunited with her husband Norm who predeceased her in 1975. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Normalyn Bonnett (Robert) and their children, Robert Glen (Andrea), Barry (Christine), and Darrin (Janice) son Eric Erickson (Irene) and their sons, Lee and Jason; daughter Nadine Erickson and her sons, Corbin and Jamieson; also great-grandchildren, Gordon, Alicia, Connor, and Cameron as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Grace Quint Nelson and brother Gordon Dudley. Evelyn was born on February 2, 1914 in Winnipeg. She worked as a Government Shell Inspector in the Second World War, and as a case aide for Childrens Aid. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. also in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, with The Rev. Ian Mills officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital for their compassionate care.
