JOSEPH L. TYMKO It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our uncle, Joseph, on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his residence in the Twin Maples Senior Residence, Beausejour, MB. Joseph was born in Allegra, MB on May 26, 1920 to pioneers Alex and Mary Tymko. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Christine and Anne; a brother Mike, two brothers in infancy; a niece and a nephew. Joe resided on the family homestead in Allegra, MB for most of his life. Failing health necessitated his moving to Twin Maples Seniors Residence and he settled in comfortably in his new home. A lifelong hard worker, Joe worked the land he loved in summer, bush camps in winter and numerous construction projects throughout the province, most notably Thompson, MB in its boom days and surrounding mining sites. He is survived by five nephews and their families, several cousins and numerous friends. Our uncle appreciated and spoke highly of his caregivers at the Beausejour Hospital and the Home Care Workers who provided loving care during his final days. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour, with Rev. Fr. Ivan Demkiv the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Brokenhead Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in Josephs memory may be made to a charity of their choice.
