ROBERT MITCHOSKY 1939 - 2003 After a lengthy illness Robert Mitchosky passed away courageously at Concordia Hospital on Sunday, January 19, 2003, at the age of 63 years. He was predeceased by his father John in 1967 and his sister Rita in 2000. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years Lorraine; his son Jason daughter-in-law Alyson and granddaughter Lauren; brother Roger and his son David; mother Kay Draisey; also extended family and friends. He was born and raised in the North and West End of Winnipeg. Robert attended the University of Manitoba and belonged to the Phi Kappa Pi fraternity. He worked for Parks Canada for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. Robert had a great interest in history, particularly the Second World War. He enjoyed wood working, reading and the outdoors. His greatest interest and joy was his granddaughter Lauren, whom he adored. Thank you to all the staff and doctors of CancerCare Manitoba at the Health Sciences Centre, especially Mona, and the nursing staff at Concordia Hospital 2 East. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
