GERMAINE CARRIERE (nee DESILETS) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 19, 2003 in St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Simon; her parents, brother Jim; sisters, Jeanne Eyers and Alma Hebert. Gerry leaves to cherish her memory her son Paul (Gloria) two grandchildren, Samantha (Randy) Nurse and Cory (Candi) Carriere and two great-grandchildren, Dorian and Katrina Carriere; brother Paul (Ida) Desilets, sister Annette Aitken; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Gagnon, Sally Desilets, Cis (Roy) Towler and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Gerry will always be fondly remembered as a family oriented and loving person. She loved playing bingo, knitting dishcloths for family and friends, playing cards, going for walks and family gatherings. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Foyer Valade and the staff on the 6th floor at St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel with Fr. Marcel Toupin officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
