Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES BRAID On January 20, 2003 Agnes Braid went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to her eternal reward. She was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1952. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Carol Franklin (Jim), Lorraine Unraw (Gerry) of Winnipeg and Doris Dickert (Don) of London, ON. She also leaves her grandchildren, Keri Cunningham (Jac) of Columbus, OH, Jodi Black (Don) of Memphis, TN, Holly Renaud (Marlon) of Winnipeg, Cheryl Sczech (Troy) of San Antonio, TX, Jason Unraw (Michelle) of St. Adolphe, MB, Nicole Unraw (fiance Ryan Sneath) of Winnipeg, Melissa Machin (Brad) of Woodstock, ON, Natalie Dickert of Cambridge, ON, Leah Dickert of Seoul, S. Korea, and Katie Dickert of London, ON. Mom also leaves 12 great-grandchildren. Mom was born in Glasgow, Scotland on October 26, 1910. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1919. Mom worked in Eatons Bindery until her marriage to Jim in 1945. Later, after her daughters were older, she went back to work for Eatons in their Catalogue Department until her retirement. Moms faith was the most important part of her life. It never waivered, no matter what the circumstances were. She joined Old Wesley Church (later to become Calvary Temple) as a teenager and was a faithful member her entire life. She taught Sunday School for well over 60 years, was a Captain in the Crusader program, was involved in all aspects of Womens Ministries, and a faithful prayer warrior. She prayed daily for her three daughters, her sons-in-law of whom she was so proud, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those prayers will be missed. We would like to thank the entire staff of Calvary Place, especially Kristen and everyone on the third floor for their love and excellent care of Mom the last three years. We appreciate every one of you. A special thank you to Marilyn for her love and support. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St., with Pastor H.H. Barber officiating. Viewing will take place half an hour prior to service. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Moms memory to Calvary Temple Youth Camp, 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3A8.
