ALICE GEORGINA CHAPPELL

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE GEORGINA CHAPPELL Peacefully on January 19, 2003, at Grace General Hospital, Alice Georgina Chappell passed away at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Hutchison Chappell, on the 21st day of May, 1976 and by her brother, George Scarfe. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Charles Lynn Chappell and his partner Denise Poulin of Winnipeg and her daughter Patricia Diane Chappell of Dryden, ON; and four grandchildren, Colleen (Sheldon) Nelson, Karen (Justin) Deeley, Nancy and Gordon, all of Winnipeg. Alice was a member of the Canadian Womens Army Corps from 1942 until 1946 following which she was then employed by the Government of Manitoba prior to her marriage. Alice was a very active and longtime member of the Annie A. Bond Guild at the Health Sciences Centre. Alice particularly enjoyed her many trips to visit her brother and nieces in Vancouver over the years. She was always an avid reader and her particular interest was Medieval History. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the exceptional nurses and staff at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home for all of the consideration and care extended to Alice. A private memorial service will be held for the family members. Flowers are gratefully declined.
