RALPH MOLDERINK SR. Ralph Molderink, beloved husband of Beatrice, was called home to be with his Lord on January 20, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 77 in Ste. Anne, MB. Ralph was born on August 5, 1925 in Staphorst, Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada in 1950, working on farms and later at the Quaker Oats Co. in Saskatoon for 19 years. He married Stella Giesbrecht in 1953 and had three children. Stella passed away with cancer. He later married Beatrice Edel who had lost her husband and was left with three children. Together they raised six children and opened their home to 27 foster babies. Ralph worked in the grain business, retiring from Pioneer Grain Co. He and his wife spent 11 winters in Arizona, where they made many dear friends. His greatest joys were his family and the fellowship of the church. He will be greatly missed by his dear wife Beatrice of 36 years; daughter Lynne (David) and their son Daniel Edwards of Bakersfield, CA; son Ralph Molderink Jr. of Ste. Anne; daughter Cindy (Andy) Vanderveen and children, Jesse, Brett, Robin, Gillian and Brock of Carman, MB; son Harvey Molderink of Warburg, AB; daughter Bonnie (Ralph) Mueller and children, Christian, Kelsey, Elan and Breanna of Winnipeg, MB; and son Grant (Gin) Edel and son Joe of Ste. Anne; brothers, Hendrik and Jan Molderink; sisters, Aalte Meulenbelt and Janna (Hendrik Jan) Huzen and their families. Our family would like to thank the Home Care nurses of the Ste. Anne area, Dr. Fredette of Ste. Anne, Dr. Foerster of St. Boniface Hospital and wonderful care by nurses at Ste. Anne Hospital during Ralphs illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meadowood Manor Building Fund or Ste. Annes Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, 1:00 p.m. at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 201 Scurfield Blvd., Winnipeg. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
