WALTER BURAK June 27, 1934 - January 22, 2003 It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Walter Burak on January 22, 2003. Walter passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Boniface Hospital. Born on June 27, 1934 and raised in Lorette, Walter and his beloved wife Jean farmed for over 45 years and raised their family. Walter will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jean. Also leaving to mourn his passing are one daughter Caroline (David Huys) one son Robert (Karen) Burak and two granddaughters, Kayla and Kacey Burak. Walter is also survived by one sister Anne (Harry) Moroz, and one brother Peter (Pauline) Burak and numerous nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by his father Wasyl in 1956; his mother Kateryna in 1993; and one infant sister Mary. Walter loved to go fishing, gardening, tree planting and helping his family and neighbours. His main love was for his family and two adorable granddaughters with whom he spent tireless hours and days. Prayers will be held on Monday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway 1 East at Green Acres Lane. Divine Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St., with Father Andrew Wach officiating, with internment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roger Wohlgemuth, Rudy Hudrick, Danny Kowalchuk, Jamie Oliviero, Kelly Romaniuk and Danny Romaniuk. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
