MARIE HOLOD On Thursday, January 23, 2003, Marie passed away peacefully at Riverview Palliative Care Centre at the age of 62, with her family at her side. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Nestor; son Daryl and daughter Heather (Dave) Waver; and grandchildren, Corey and Matthew; sisters, Tekla (Nick) Andruchiw of Philadelphia, Lydia Foster of Brandon, and Olga Milas of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. Marie was born on August 10, 1940 in the Western Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1951. Maries passion was her impeccable flower garden, which she took great pride in doing. She also loved crafts and crocheting afghans, which she gave to family and friends. The family would like to thank Seven Oaks Oncology for the wonderful care Marie received. Also, special thanks to Dr. Jamie Boyd for his compassion and dedication. A service in her memory will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Rev. C. J. Adams officiating. Burial of cremains at Transcona Cemetery. Should friends so desire, memorial donations made to Cancer Care Manitoba would be greatly appreciated. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
