TOBY KOFFMAN (LANK) Peacefully on January 22, 2003, our dearly loved mother and grandmother, Toby, passed away. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Barry, Marshall, daughter-in-law Luanne and her precious granddaughter Hannah, whom she adored, as well as her nieces, Libby (Morris) of London, Marci of Halifax; the Lank, Kligman and Stoffman families and numerous other friends. Toby was born in Kiev, Russia and immigrated to Canada at 13 years of age to join her sister Nancy Kligman. She was the subject of a CBC radio drama by her nephew Paul Kligman. Her story inspired Paul to write about her life as a young girl coming to Canada. She married Issac Lank with whom she had two sons. Toby was a very kind, compassionate woman, her greatest joy was her family. Her kindness was always evident in her smile and concern for others. Everyone loved her. Words cannot express the sadness we all feel. She will always be remembered for her heart of gold and amazing chicken soup. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chesed Shel Emes, 1023 Main St. Interment will follow at BNai Abraham Cemetery.
