WALTER CHIRKO Suddenly on Thursday, January 23, 2003, beloved Walter went into eternal rest. Dad was predeceased by his parents and recently by his sister Annette Schmuir on January 17, 2003. He is deeply and lovingly missed by his family, daughter Donna and Willie Korchynski; son Don and Val Chirko; Gee Gees girls, his granddaughters, Ashley and Stephanie Korchynski and Brittany Chirko. Dad also had a very special place in his heart for his very good friends, Lesia and Maria; as well as many wonderful neighbours, family and friends. If you knew Walter he was a very hardworking, caring and humble man. By chance if you stopped by his home, he welcomed you with open arms. Dad always had a cup of coffee, drink, cookie or snack ready. Upon his retirement from Parr Metal, Dad found that there was so much more life could offer. You could always find him feeding his bats, birds or watering his flowers. Somewhere in the neighbourhood, Dad was often cutting the grass for the neighbours, doing odd jobs, or shovelling snow. Family found that he was a growing concern because of his busy schedule. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 29 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Chirko, Willie Korchynski, Clinton Bretecher, Darren Gagaluk, Joe LaBiuk and Sid Trager. Dad, we love you and we will deeply miss you. You will forever be in our hearts. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
