Marathon Mom BETTY DREGER Born January 25, 1941 - January 23, 2003 After a marathon battle with pancreatic cancer, Betty passed away peacefully this Thursday morning at the age of 61, with family at her side. She lives on in the memory of her family and friends: her father Frank Erickson; her son David and wife Sharon; daughter Eunice and husband Lyle; son Evan; her grandsons, Shane and Dallas; her siblings, Lorna, Frank and Lynn. Special thanks to her friends, Darlene, Cathy, Rhonda, Keith and her co-workers. Betty had a passionate and kind spirit giving her all at everything she did. Some of her proudest moments were running the Manitoba Marathon, working with special needs students at John Taylor Collegiate, doing flowers for weddings and friends, and she devoted much of her spare time gardening. Love you Mom. Always. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Services to be held at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapels, 1858 Portage Ave., on Monday, January 27 at 4:00 p.m.
