ROY GRAEME SPROAT September 14, 1936 - January 24, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, at the Grace Hospital. Roy was the first born son of Duncan Alexander Sproat and Doris Ethel Sproat (Fuller). In 1960 Roy and Nancy were married and spent a busy life raising their four daughters, Cheryl (Brian), Carla (Tony), Cathy (Guy) and Charlene (Leland). In 2001 they chose their retirement home and moved out to Matlock, MB. Roy dearly loved his family and found great contentment when they were together, especially at the lake. He also enjoyed getting together and playing cards with their good friends. He was a very proud Pappa to Desmond, Bryce, Brendan and Madison. Roy also leaves to mourn his brother Bill (Gayle) and nephews, Jim and Jeff, plus numerous other relatives and friends. Roy was predeceased by his parents, and cousin Ken Church. Although Roy had health problems during the last six years, he was blessed with being able to enjoy many good times with friends and family. He was a very dependable father, husband and friend and we will truly miss him. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 9Z9, or to a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
