IDA KUENSTLER Peacefully, on Friday, January 24, 2003 with family at her side, Ida Kuenstler passed away at the age of 81 years. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Albert, four children, Wally (Elfriede), Harry (Arlene), Rita (Gary) and Erna (Bernie) ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernst (Lily) Schroeder and Arnold (Lydia) Schroeder; as well as many relatives and friends. Ida was predeceased by one infant child (Paul). Ida was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her husband and sons. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an active member of Rowandale Baptist Church where she served faithfully in various ministries until Parkinsons disease made her participation difficult. Her faith in God and hope of eternal life was her constant source of strength. Ida was always very hospitable, opening her home to many people of all ages and walks of life. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. with a viewing one-half hour prior to the service. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens with reception to follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hobson and Dr. Martens and all the staff of Donwood Personal Care Home for their love and compassion in the care of our mother.
