JAIME GAPATAN SR. Peacefully, at his residence in Burgos, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on January 25, 2003 with family at his side, Jaime Gapatan Sr. passed away at the age of 80 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Nenita; children, Jane (Lito Domingo), daughter-in-law, Bernice, Jaime Jr. (Florizel), Cristina (Greg Derige) and Melanie (Jun Castillo) grandchildren, Adrienne and Johnathan Domingo, Edward, Dan Wayne and Ainna, Jasmine, Jason, Jerrick, Janine, Jacques, Jaime III, Jared and Justin, Mark, Martin and Gretchen Derige and Carlo Castillo; sisters, Crisanta and Feliciana Balicoco, numerous nieces and nephews in the Philippines, and the United States and Australia; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws; as well as many relatives and friends and special friend, Priscilla Viado. He was predeceased by his son, Danilo, grandson Jed and brother-in-law Being Balicoco. Jaime was born February 4, 1922 in Candon, Ilocos Sur. He came to Canada in 1985. He was a loving, patient and hard working man who left us a legacy of caring for others. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, in the Philippines.
