NEELTJE (NEL) GROENHEIDE Nel Groenheide, aged 75, was called to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, January 27, 2003. Nel is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Jan Groenheide; and their eight children and families, sons, Jack (Tini) of Oakbank, Greg (Lorraine) of Oakbank, Bill (Jenny) of Thunder Bay, Ronald of Stonewall, Jim (Jeanette) of Oakbank, Jeff of Ottawa; daughters, Marion (Jerry) of Thunder Bay, Shirley (Bill) of Ottawa; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her daughter Wilhemina; and her brother Piet; and sisters, Wilhemina and Johanna. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway 1 East at Green Acres Lane. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Covenant Christian Reformed Church at 653 Knowles Ave., with Pastor Bill Tuninga officiating. Private family interment will be held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank for their continued efforts, care and support.
