GERALDINE ELIN (GERRY) MOORE (nee HANNA) Peacefully, on Wednesday January 22, 2003 Geraldine Moore passed away at home at the age of 70. Geraldine was born in Winnipeg on September 3, 1932 to William and Elin Hanna and grew up in St. Boniface and St. Vital. She is survived by her son Les (Kathi) her daughters, Colleen (Chris), Carol (George), and Maureen (Simon) her grandchildren, Kevin, Alison, Jennifer and Jamie; her sister Pat (Bryan) her sister-in-law Lynn; and her aunt Madge; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father William (1942) mother Elin (1994) brothers, Bill (1999) and Wayne (1999) and sister-in-law Gerry (1999). Geraldine was a very caring and loving person. She was always ready and willing to help anyone whether it be family, friends, neighbours or anyone else who needed a hand. She was always volunteering her time in the community. She spent 20 years with the Sunday School and the Cubs at John Black Memorial Church. She also initiated the Chums and Saturday Bowling League programs for persons of special needs as well as much time and effort put into S.P.I.K.E. Although her illness for the last part of her life made it impossible for her to participate in the things she loved, she will be sadly missed by many for all her past selfless efforts. A memorial service will be held at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, at John Black Memorial United Church, 898 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to S.P.I.K.E. or any other special needs charity of your choice.
