Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIUS CHARLES HORA On January 24, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Julius Charles Hora passed away at the age of 78 years. Julius was born on May 18, 1924, in Woodridge, MB. He was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth; father Andrew; sister Irene in infancy; brothers, Lewis, Johnny, Andy; sisters, Anna Hora, Emma Munson, and Ethel Ross. He will be survived by sister Veronique Viehbeck; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Hora and Alva Hora; numerous nieces and nephews. Julius was employed by the CNR as a Sectionman, Foreman, and Road Master for many years. After retirement he had many interests and was involved with delivering for Meals on Wheels, gardening, and going to the horse races. He was also an avid fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and enjoyed his sports. During the Second World War he was a member of the Princess Patricias Regiment. He was a proud member of St. Gerards Parish as well as the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, at St. Gerards Parish, 45 Foster, with Father Pierre Wood celebrant. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Gerards Parish (Compassionate Friends). Special thanks are extended to all the many dear friends that gave support and loving care to Julius and his family.
