Dad spent his whole life farming in the Charleswood area with his brother John. He served on the Manitoba Sugar Beet Growers Association for many years. In his later years he enjoyed his large garden and was best known for "the best corn in the world". He often said that he couldnt stop growing corn as he would be letting his family and friends down. Dads family meant the world to him. He loved to spend time surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He always had a smile and a joke to tell. Dad was born on Valentines Day and he was truly our sweetheart. Rest in peace Dad. We love you always. The family would like to thank the many wonderful Doctors and Nurses at St. Boniface Hospital (Dr. Wong and Kathy, Dr. Daeninck and Tracey) and the staff of St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care ward for their caring and compassion. Thank you also to Dr. Jowett and Agnes for always being there to help. A mass in celebration of Dads life will be held at St. John Brebeuf Church on Friday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
