ELEANOR UNRAW (MARTENS)

ELEANOR UNRAW (nee MARTENS) Eleanor left this world to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, January 27, 2003. Eleanor Unraw (nee Martens) was born on Friday, July 13, 1926, daughter to Abe and Justina Martens. Eleanor married Jacob Unraw on September 3, 1944. She is predeceased by her mother Justina in 1973; father Abe in 1983; brother Abie circa 1930; and husband Jake, September 28, 1991. Eleanor leaves to mourn her five children, Gerald (Lorraine) Unraw, Harold (Lori) Unraw, Lenore Unraw, Richard (Debbie) Unraw, and Lawrence (Joy) Unraw. Seven grandchildren, Cheryl (Troy) Sczech, Jason (Michelle) Unraw, Nicole Unraw (Ryan Sneath), Laurie (Rob) Lammiman, Michael Unraw, Bryce Unraw and Sheri Unraw. 6 2/3 great-grandchildren, Jarrett Sczech, Jordan Sczech, "soon-to-be" Joshua Sczech, Lindsay Lammiman, Stephanie Lammiman, Austin Unraw, and Breanne Dequier. Two sisters, Florence (David Unraw) and Helen (Robert) Pierce and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel on Friday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Garry Memorial Park. Special thanks to the doctors, nursing staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, Wards 5E, 5B, and especially the I.C.U. on the 2nd floor. Their loving care was greatly appreciated by the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Eleanors memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, MB Branch, 200-55 Donald St. Winnpeg, MB. R3C 1L8. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
