VERONICA (VERNY) ROBERECKI (nee OSTRY) 1935 - 2003 After a lengthy illness, it is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Verny at Seven Oaks Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2003. Verny leaves to mourn her husband Jerry; daughter Shelley Pastrick (Bill) son Lyle; sister Helen Davis; aunt Ann; uncle Stan (Alice) and numerous cousins; nephews, Allan Davis (Diane), Robert Davis; niece Wendy Davis; three great-nieces, Jennifer and Rachel Davis, Christy Froese (Andy) and great-great-nephew Nickolas Froese. She will also be very sadly missed by the family cats, Skeeter and Vader. She was predeceased by her mother Lena in 1975; father Nick in 1986; and two brothers, Allan and August in infancy; and brother-in-law Lloyd in 2001. Many thanks to Dr. Braun and Dr. Mark Kristjanson and staff on Level 5, Units 5 and 3 for the tender loving care they gave Verny. Prayers will be held on Monday, February 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4 at 10:00 a.m. also at the chapel. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Allan, Wendy, Jennifer and Rachel Davis, Christy Froese and Allan Stetz. Honorary pallbearers are Diane and Robert Davis. Flowers gratefully declined, if one so wishes, donations may be made in Vernys memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of ones choice. Dear Lord Put your arms around her Hold her in your tender care Make up to her for all she suffered And all she had to bare.
