KONSTANTIN SCHWARZENAU Peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2003, Konstantin passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years. Konstantin was born May 11, 1916, in Schoenwise, Ukraine and immigrated with his family to Winnipeg, Canada in 1948. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lydia; and his daughter Eleonore and husband Cornelius Klassen; son Walter and wife Uta; and four grandchildren, Kevin, Ken, Cara and Christine, and one great-granddaughter Emma. Konstantin was employed by Bortons Saw service for 26 years. He lived in Winnipeg most of his life enjoying his family and many friends. He enjoyed many wonderful years at his cottage at Balsam Bay and took great pleasure in gardening. Thanks to Dr. R. Masek and staff of Concordia Hospital and special thanks to nurse Linda Klassen, who made his final days comfortable. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 31 at 1:30 p.m. at The First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
