Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS LAMBERT SR. Peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 with his family by his side God came to gather one of his jewels, Thomas Lambert Sr. of St. Laurent, MB. Born in St. Laurent November 6, 1918, son of the late Arcade and Catherine Lambert (nee Lavallee). Tom lived his entire life in St. Laurent as a fisherman and a trapper. He was also a guide for 53 years at the Mallard Lodge in the Delta Marsh region. There and in the neighbouring community of St. Ambroise is where he made numerous friends. Tom was also actively involved in baseball both as a player and coach. His greatest pleasures centred around his family and grandchildren, whom he provided with many wonderful memories of love and support. He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Berthe Lambert (nee Chartrand) his sons, Tom Jr. (Sharon), Leo (Bonny) and grandchildren, Faye, Devan, Vanessa and Justin. He is also survived by his brother Chris Lambert and sister-in-law Edmee Lambert and Ludovic (Maggie) Chartrands family. Prayers will be said on Saturday, February 1, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of the Resurrection celebrated at St. Laurent R.C. Church with Monsignor Maurice Comeault officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are nephews, Ernie Lambert, Claude Lambert, Ron Lavallee, Jim Lauzon, Duane Millar and Paul Chartrand. We would like to thank the many family and friends who supported and prayed for us during this very difficult time. Special thanks to the Emergency and Ward 3 east staff at Concordia Hospital who made his final days comfortable and to the staff at the Assisted Living Centre in St. Laurent and Maples Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 (as he loved children so much).
