IRMA FREEMAN After a brief illness, with family continually by her side, on Sunday, January 26, 2003, our dear mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the Northcrest Home in Vancouver at the age of 80. Irma was predeceased by her loving husband John in 1985. Irma and John were longtime residents of the North End of Winnipeg where they proudly raised their three sons. Irma will be deeply missed by her three sons, John (Gabrielle) in Montreal, Bob (Gale) in Vancouver and Brian (Lori) in Winnipeg. Grandma has a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren, Scott and Todd, Brock, Marnie and Alexa and Danielle and Nicole. Special memories are also cherished by her brothers, Mario and Leo Cura; sister-in-law Maria Cura and many nieces and nephews overseas. A private service and interment will be held at a later date. MOM When we were young, you softly held our hand so we could not get lost. Near the end, we always caressed your hands so you knew you were home. When we were young, you hugged and kissed us always, to know we were loved. Near the end, our kisses and hugs showed your love had taken deep roots. When we were young, you were the comfort in cold places. Near the end, your heart and peace brought warmth through us all. When we were young, your gentle words gave us courage. Near the end, your courage made gentle all that we do. When we were young, your smile melted away the hurt. Near the end, our pain was dissolved in this smile. When we were young, you brought feeling to family. Near the end, you made feeling sweet sorrow familiar. When we were young, you told us stories that made us dream of angels. Near the end, we knew the stories were about you. An Angel always in our hearts
