ANNA GUTOWSKI (nee ANTONOWICH) Peacefully with her family at her side, Anna passed away on October 28, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 69. She was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Pearl; sisters, Jean and Sophia, and brother Walter. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karen (Michel), Angela (Jerry), Richard; Kimberly (Joe), and six grandchildren, Riley, Taylor, Jordan, Chelsea, Tyler and Brock. Also sisters, Mary, Olga, Stella and brothers, Nick, Matt, their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews and all her good friends and neighbour Reta. Anna was born September 19, 1933 and raised in Vita, MB. She moved to Winnipeg then married and raised her four children. She worked at Western Glove. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Parish and Sinclair Park Senior Groups. Mom was an independent woman who was deeply devoted to her family. She had a deep compassion and empathy for others and always would extend her love and help to anyone who needed it. In spite of her battle she never lost her sense of humour, strength and poured out her love for people to the end. She was gifted with all her handicrafts. She loved to play bingo and garden. Mom touched many lives while she was here and will be forever missed. The family also offers sincere thanks to relatives and friends for their caring and compassion. A Memorial Liturgy Service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk officiating. The interment will be held at a later date. Thanks to the CancerCare Clinic and to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations in Annas memory may be made to The Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.
