STEPHEN KRASEY Peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, Stephen Krasey passed away at the age of 88 years. Stephen is survived by his four sons, John, Ron (Pat), Andy (Karen) and Wayne (Mary-Kay) two daughters, Anita (Tony) Onufreychuk and Angela (Louis) Constant; and one daughter-in-law Rejane. Gido will be missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helen January 16, 1998; three sons, Andrew, William and Tony; one granddaughter Jennifer Kaye March 6, 2002; his parents, Ann and William Krasey; two brothers and three sisters. Stephen was born August 4, 1914 at Kreuzburg (Fraserwood), MB. He was a carpenter all his life and in his spare time loved picking mushrooms and strawberries. Dad worked at Graham Moorhouse and United Sash and Door. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his children or anyone else who needed him especially with home repair. He was also an avid hunter. We will all miss him very much. Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 2 at 5:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church, Meleb. Rev. Fr. Peter Chorney will officiate with interment to follow in Meleb Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Krasey, Theresa Krasey, Anthony Onufreychuk, Allan Onufreychuk, Jason Kaye and Paul Constant. The family would like to thank the staff of CD-2 at the Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care and support. Vichnaya Pamyat Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.
