ALEXANDER JACK FAY 1913 - 2003 After a long and full life, Alex passed away peacefully at Beacon Hill Lodge, Saturday, February 1, 2003, at the age of 89 years, eight days shy of his 90th birthday. Alex was predeceased by his wife Lydia, April 13, 2002; father and mother, Jack and Catherine; four sisters and three brothers. Dad lived in the North End of Winnipeg for 70 years of his life. He retired from Swifts in 1978 after many years of service. Alex was a life member of the Canadian German Society and St. Johns Sportsmen Club. Anyone who knew Alex knew how much he loved dancing and music. Left to mourn are his three sons, Len (Betty) of Winnipeg, Gary (Judy) of Florida, Terry (Lucy) of British Columbia; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four stepgrandchildren; brother Harry Fay of California; sister-in-law Mary Schelling; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with a reception to follow. A family interment will be held at a later time. No flowers please.
