WILLIAM THOMAS HORKOFF March 16, 1916 - January 31, 2003 On Friday, January 31, 2003, at Betel Personal Care Home in Gimli, MB, Bill Horkoff, father of Winnifred Kowalewich (Jerry Rurak), Terry Horkoff (Sheryl) and Ramona Hodges, grandfather of Francine (Mike), Tasha (Rik), D.J. (Patti), Angela and Christopher, and great-grandfather of Holly, passed away at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his wife Frances in 1991, parents, Peter and Malasha Horkoff, and siblings, Mary Arishenkoff, Dora Horkoff, Helen Kazakoff and Peter Horkoff. Bill was born on March 16, 1916 in the Lilyvale District near Veregin, SK. He married Frances Kastrukoff in 1939. Farming in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario was the mainstay of life, until their retirement to Kelowna, BC in 1980. More recently, Bill lived in Winnipeg and Gimli, MB. Cremation has taken place. A memorial will take place in Saskatchewan at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Jocelyn House, 177 Egerton Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W7. Rest in Peace.
