LESLIE WILLIAM FRANKLIN JEMPSON Peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2003 at Extendicare Oakview Place, Les passed away at the age of 87 years. Les was a gentle and loving man who is survived by his wife of 61 years Amelia; their daughters, Debbie (Cary), Darlene, Lorna (Ken) grandchildren, Tina, Tim, Jean, Jill, Lauren, Angela, Joelle; great-grandchild Halle. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Les lived his entire life in Winnipeg except four years spent in Vancouver while in the Armed Forces. He enjoyed working as a letter carrier for 42 years and his retirement of the last 26 years. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., MB R3C 2B7, or the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 204 - 825 Sherbrook St., MB R3A 1M5.
