Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK CLIFFORD WOODS TURNER On Thursday February 6, 2003 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB, Cliff Turner, aged 64 years, beloved husband of Beverly Turner of Carman. Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Beverly Anne,; son Douglas (Dolly) of Gillam; two daughters, Christine of Okotoks, AB, Tricia (Jeff) Klassen of Carman. Cliff also leaves behind four grandchildren, Crystal, Kelli, Stephen, Tyler; and one sister Olva Turner of Victoria, BC. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Vera Turner. Cliff was born June 13, 1938 in Douglas, Isle of Man. He sailed to Canada when he was 16 and worked briefly in Brandon, Winnipeg, and Thompson before joining Manitoba Hydro in 1964. Cliff, Bev and the kids moved to Gillam in June 1970. Cliff worked at Radisson/Henday converter station as an electrician. He was an active member of municipal politics, mayor, councillor positions and a founding member of Gillam Cable Television. Through the years Cliff and Bev made many good friends. Cliff retired as manager of Radisson/Henday converter station in 1996. He and Bev relocated to Carman where Cliff became involved in his own management services and managed a small business. Cliff enjoyed spending his spare time with his grandchildren. We will miss you dearly dad. You will always be in our hearts. Funeral services will be held from the St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate, in Winnipeg, on Saturday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. with the Venerable David J. Pate officiating. Lunch will follow at the Viscount Gort Hotel in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada, 2239 Oak St., Vancouver, BC R6H 3W6.
