IDA (BLOOM) WEGNER Peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2003, Ida Wegner, aged 94 years, passed away at the Meadowood Manor. She came from Poland in 1928 and married Benjamin Bloom who predeceased her in 1963. In 1974, she married John Wegner who predeceased her in 1975. Ida is survived by son Leonard (Elsie) daughter Rose Marie; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Ida was an active lady who was very involved at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church and Whyte Ridge Baptist Church. When she moved to Meadowood, she became very involved in the community there and helped wherever she was needed. Ida was greatly admired by all those who knew her. She will be remembered and greatly missed by her friends and family. Visitation 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 10 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Annes Rd. The family wishes to thank the staff at Meadowood Manor for the excellent care given to Ida.
