SYLVIA HAMILTON (nee BRADY) February 12, 1921 - February 5, 2003 Peacefully at Donwood Manor on February 5, 2003, Sylvia, beloved wife of Edward Hamilton, passed away at the age of 81 years. Besides her husband Edward, Sylvia leaves to cherish her memory her children, Doreen (Ben) Klein, Margaret (Ken) Farley, Ted (Wendy) Hamilton all of Winnipeg, MB, Nancy (Rob) Friesen of Saskatoon, SK, Catherine Hamilton (Mal Rawlings) of Toronto, ON; also 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Lily Gray of Penticton, BC, Madeline Dreilick of Winnipeg and Dorothy Schultz of Vernon, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents; brother Walter; and sisters, Ruth Schulz and Eleanor Andrew. Sylvia was born in Winnipeg. Ed and Sylvia met at a dance in 1941 and were married that same year. They shared their love of dancing, old time and square dancing for many years. Most of their married lives were spent living in East Kildonan. They moved to Woodlands in 1983 and lived there for a time before moving back to Winnipeg. Sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Donwood Manor 2N for their exceptional care of Sylvia. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers donations in Sylvias memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
