RITA SERBIN (nee LESPERANCE) December 4, 1933 - February 5, 2003 It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Rita Serbin at the age of 69 years. She will be forever remembered by her husband George of 48 years of marriage; her daughter Rita Lynn (Stephen) her son Bill (Kelli) and grandchildren, Melissa, Chelsea, Zachary and Nicholas. She was predeceased by her son Allan in 1985; and by her parents, Lucille and Adrien; and by her sister Adrienne. Rita was employed and retired as a Magistrate with the Manitoba Government. Rita was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. Her hospitality was surpassed only by her generous spirit. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 7 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1701 John Brebeuf Pl., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano officiating at the Eucharist. The service will end at the church with reception to follow. Interment will be held in the spring. The family would like to thank the staff of GH5 at the Health Sciences Centre, Palliative Care at Riverview Health Centre, Dr. Nason and the staff of CancerCare. A special thank you to all the friends that sent cards, flowers and came to visit Rita at home and in the hospital.
