VERONICA SHORTRIDGE Peacefully, after a long illness, on Monday, February 3, 2003, Veronica passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Roger in 1954; her mother Mary in 1970; grandson Christopher in 1981 and her sister Mary (Dolly) Nolan in 1992. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael, Matthew (Josie) and Roger (Sharon) daughter-in-law Heather; five grandchildren, Matthew (Elaine), Sean, Nolan, Jolene (Brian), and Erynn; one great-grandchild, Mina; many friends and special friends Lorraine, Mary, Jimmy, and Joanne. Veronica enjoyed many years camping in Gimli and made many friends there. She was a very loving mother and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her grandchildren were very special to her and we will all miss her wonderful cooking, loving nature and great sense of humour. The family would like to thank the staff on 6th Floor West at Deer Lodge Centre. According to Moms wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Veronicas memory to a charity of ones choice.
