JANET SMYTHE 1919 - 2003 Peacefully, Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Janet Smythe, wife of Wesley Smythe, mother of Valerie Smythe and sister of Ruth Gordon, passed away. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and loyal friends. She was predeceased by both parents, brothers, Charles and Robert and sister Elizabeth. Janet was born and raised in East Kildonan and resided in Oak Bank. Special thanks to Dr. Bruce Kowaluk, staff at Concordia Hospital and the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Unit and friends for helping us through this difficult time. At Janets request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Rest in peace Janet. Our love goes with you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oak Bank. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
